Speaker - Nick Harvey, Technical Advisor, CIPFA

Nick Harvey, Technical Advisor, CIPFA

Nick is the technical advisor for CIPFA's Treasury Management and Pensions Networks. He will be leading on revisions to and guidance on the Treasury Management and Prudential Codes. He will also be advising on the changing pension fund investment landscape, particularly the move towards more diverse and sustainable portfolios.

He has 14 years of experience as a treasury practitioner at principal officer level, as well as five years of experience overseeing pension fund investments and three years of experience managing a banking team. Nick joined CIPFA in 2021.

Britain’s most successful Paralympic swimmer and an active member of the House of Lords with a policy focus on digital technology for public good. Lord Holmes is a passionate advocate for the potential of technology and the benefits of diversity and inclusion with a particular interest in technologies such as AI and blockchain and areas of application such as fintech and trade. In Parliament, he specializes in legislation that deals with technology and inclusion, introducing Private Members Bills on the regulation of artificial intelligence and banning unpaid work experience. He was integral to the passing of the ground-breaking Electronic Trade Documents Bill.

Alex has been a community leader since 1991, having served at all levels of Local government including Town, District, Unitary and County Council. Currently he is a member of the Audit Committee of Buckinghamshire Unitary Council. Commercially, Alex has over 35 years of experience of Global Corporate Banking, Trade Finance Origination & Leadership including fintech technology delivering significant revenue & capital returns to ensure Go to Market success. As Global Head of Trade & Working Capital of BLME, he developed BAFT Sharia Finance rules & advised UK government.

Speaker - Daniel Cotti - Founding Partner, T3i Partner Network

Daniel is an industry expert in trade finance, treasury and technology with over 30 years of experience in global corporate banking and more than seven years of expertise in fintech and blockchain technology. He is also the CEO of Lombard electronic Market Infrastructure (LEMI), a new market infrastructure supporting existing digital market places with post trade digital services. Daniel is also the founder and CEO of Cotti Trade & Treasury, a consulting practice for digital trade finance. Previously, Daniel served as the managing director of the Centre of Excellence, Banking and Trade at Marco Polo Network and he also held the position of non-executive chairman at Bolero, a digital trade finance platform.
